Zanzibar Association of People Living with HIV and AIDS (ZAPHA+) was established in Zanzibar as a national network for, by and with People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in Zanzibar in the year 1994 and registered in 1996.
Peer Education Programs
Peer education programs is a project that designed to build the capacity and experience of young peer educators through strengthening reproductive health education, education on HIV and nutrition, and life skills for adolescents in and out of schools. The project joined Peer educators and Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) under the primary health care program sponsored by D-Tree. The project aims to reach a total of 110,000 adolescents, of which 92,387 (84%) have been reached by December 2022.
